In June of 1986 deputies in the National Assembly advanced four separate interpellations of four ministers in the government: the minister of communications, Isa al-Mazidi, the minister of finance, Jasim al-Khorafi, the minister of oil, Ali Khalfia al-Sabah, and the minister of education, Hasan al-Ibrahim. The ruling family dissolved the parliament unconstitutionally before any of the ministers were interpellated.
