Interpellation of Shaykh Salman al-Duaij Al Sabah, the minister of justice. Shaykh Salman resigned following the interpellation, thus avoiding a vote of confidence. It was expected that he would have lost the vote of confidence, had it been held. He was interpellated on issues concerning the Suq al-Manakh stock market crisis. His forced resignation contributed to the decision to suspend the National Assembly in 1986.
Salman Duaij is of a family closely related to the ruling family.
